Exceptional outerwear anchored Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s solution to the long, transitional nature of resort. It was a savvy way into the collection, stocked with a broad range of gorgeous coats interspersed among tailored skirts and billowing silk pajamas and dresses. Of the coats, those done in ivory and black palm-tree embroidery — a collaboration with artist Whitney Bedford — were elegant beauties, while oversize parkas and trenches inspired by old photos of fisherman, complete with rain hats, worked the rugged side of chic.
