Giambattista Valli said he took a cue from the stylish women photographed by Irving Penn in the Fifties. To wit, he focused on his specialty, little dresses, this time topped with bolero jackets and fur shrugs. He also showed shrunken coats, beribboned dresses in eyelet cotton and sweaters with dreamy, hand-painted motifs.
