Zac Posen likes his brand of glamour to cover more and show less. “I find it edgier, sexier than revealing all. It’s just more exciting,” says the designer. For pre-fall, Posen’s notion of sexy took the form of derriere-clinging, bias-cut gowns in a spicy palette. The most interesting were the capelet look and another halter style with an attached, floor-length cape.
There were some charming looks here that moved away from the more sensually cut gowns, especially the pretty peplum shirt and long skirt in dotted silk chiffon. Posen also likes a light men’s wear touch, best exemplified by the elongated tails in a houndstooth wool over a silk shirt and wool jersey pants.
