“We came up with our own artwork: a flying fish against the sky,” said Babi Ahluwalia as she held up a printed dress. “It’s a surreal sensibility.” The duo’s love of technical fabrics — Neoprene with chiffon, leather mesh, brushable sequins — was on full display in their sporty pre-fall collection. A black Neoprene topper with lattice cutouts and floral appliqués delivered all of the designers’ ideas in a chic way.
