Colorful embroideries depicting underwater creatures were the only decorative elements of Miao Ran’s collection, which focused on clean, relaxed silhouettes infused with a graphic attitude.
For his debut show, held at Milan’s Armani Theater, the designer conceived a chic lineup cut in generous shapes. Oversize cotton shirts were matched with wide-leg pants, while canvas coats with patch pockets were paired with fluid trousers showing drawstring cuffs. The genderless appeal of the collection came through in romantic macramé pieces.
