A vein of rocker influence seeped into Jean Touitou’s collection for spring, causing its cool factor to crank up a few notches.
Certain elements — such as a shirt and trousers in a leopard print, a long blue grid-knitted jacket paired with white jeans or a vertically striped sweater, bomber jacket and black jeans combination — were particularly hip.
During his presentation, Touitou referred to rock ’n’ roll tunes, including Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the Silence,” The Chocolate Watchband’s rendition of “I’m Not Like Everybody Else” and Blondie’s “Heart of Glass.”
