Each season, Sergio Corneliani pushes his classic tailoring slowly in a more fashion-forward direction. For spring, he did so via a series of single-pleated and voluminous Bermuda shorts matched with airy jackets.
The Mantuan tailor also hopped onto the high-waist trouser trend, which came with a wide waistband cinched via a pair of straps in lieu of a belt, adding an old-school allure to the silhouette.
Delicate 3-D knits and soft leather were seen on a series of T-shirts, upping the lineup’s luxe factor, as did a chic mix of beige, stone, plum and royal blue hues.
Most of the silhouettes remained predictably classic, although the designer partially made up for the lack of boldness with a volley of long nylon trenches that added a little bit of drama.
