A mash-up of inspirations infused Christian Niessen and Nicole Lachelle’s latest collection, including Berlin-based band Suns of Thyme and Gerhard Richter’s use of Photoshop, the latter reflected in colorful stripes on some fabrics.
“That was our way of dealing with ‘psychedelic’ in a very organized way,” said Niessen, adding a large part of the collection is of Japanese cottons cut on the bias — among the label’s signatures.
Suns of Thyme performed live for the presentation, and also modeled the clothes.
