Angela Missoni said her guy continues to travel for fall, pinning the needle on Ladakh, the mountainous region in India which she said attracted a number of rock stars in the Seventies.
Inspired by traditional Ladakhi fabrics, the designer sent out a run of knits, fully embroidered with metal coins, beads and fringed motifs that blended. Elsewhere, Missoni wrapped her bohemian voyagers in chunky fringed scarves and flowy blankets that were layered over long-sleeved knitted sweaters or shirt jackets done in an opulent palette.
But overall the collection left the audience craving nothing more than a puffer jacket as they shivered under the fleece blankets provided for the chilly outdoor show — in Milan, in January.
