Jean Touitou wishes men would stop dressing uniformly. When questioned about his inspiration, he launched a diatribe against the dominant hipster style.
With this collection, he delivered a broad choice of well-crafted outerwear, taking in aviator, bomber and navy-style jackets, as well as more classic tailored styles in fabrics like leather, velvet, padded satin and classic wool. Lumberjack shirts were tucked into tailored pants, while looks including a camel wrap coat and several pairs of wide pajama-style pants had a distinct loungewear feel. While offering up little in the way of surprises, this collection delivered Touitou’s habitual cool contemporary vibe, and will no doubt attract a hipster or three.
