John Richmond toned down his usual rock ’n’ roll aesthetic for fall in favor of tailored suits in traditional British fabrics.
Silhouettes were shrunken for a slightly retro look, or more relaxed with loose pants cropped above the knee. The masculine attitude of the sporty outerwear was softened by decorations with a feminine feel, such as the floral embroideries on the back of a military parka with a fur hood.
Except for a too flamboyant multicolor graphic pattern on a range of pieces, Richmond delivered a sober, cohesive collection in which the designer’s rebellious and irreverent style codes were interpreted in a more mature way.
