The designer gave his modernist aesthetic an Ice Age spin in this excellent outerwear-focused collection, paraded by Neanderthal types with primitive frizzy coifs, furry yeti gloves and oversize Timberland-style boots.
Composed of various matte fabrics in black or mammoth-tusk ivory, designs included form-fitting puffer jackets with asymmetric zips; elongated hooded bombers; oversize belted monkish styles with hoods and rounded backs, and midthigh-length wrap styles with front panels in contrasting hairy and shaved shearling.
Fur added a touch of light here and there, such as on glossy ponyskin versions of the designer’s signature elongated tank tops. Utility pockets on slim cargo pants also underscored explorer mood.
