The ancient scientific library of Milan’s Policlinico hospital served as the spectacular setting for Tatras’ fall presentation. The Italian outerwear specialist showcased a rich collection of pieces designed to fend off cold winter weather with both style and functionality. A special textured fabric called Nishijin, which is crafted in Osaka, Japan, and features a blend of wool and silver threads, was crafted for a range of styles, including a padded coat and a bomber, all printed with a tone-on-tone python motif. The two faces of a camouflage jacquard cloth were combined on a parka with a faux-fur collar, while a cool padded cape combined long-haired wool and nylon. A range of styles, such as an elegant hooded coat with padded nylon details, was inspired by Sweden’s famous Icehotel, made of ice and snow. Tatras also teamed up with Milan-based designer Lucio Vanotti on a capsule collection of both men’s and women’s pieces, which included a minimal raincoat with a light padding worked in a chic military green and black houndstooth pattern.
