Lucio Vanotti manipulated classic shapes for fall. Coats and shirts were draped and reproportioned, while a bomber jacket was designed with dropped shoulders for an unexpected silhouette. Chiffon panels stitched to turtleneck tops added a sense of lightness and dynamism, giving them a refreshing, lively look. Vanotti’s signature soft, deconstructed approach to tailoring resulted in pretty, elegant featherweight blazers cut in oversize silhouettes, while masculine pants had pleats, as well as elastic waistbands for a hint of relaxed athleticism. The designer also introduced more openly feminine designs, such as asymmetric draped tunics and an elegant fluid wool skirt matched with a checkered poncho.
