For her second collection, Winonah de Jong was inspired by the colors and forest atmospheres of her native Suriname. Embroideries of tropical birds gave a precious feel to a high-waist midi skirt matched with a bouclé bustier, or inset on the back of a fluid velvet jumpsuit. Elegant and hyperfeminine crinoline dresses were cut in Fifties-inspired silhouettes with volume on the hips, while classic robe coats were worked in luxurious double-faced wool. De Jong also turned out cashmere travel uniforms — joggers, sweatshirts and oversize cardigans — for the comfort-minded jet-setter.
