Miriam and Piero Cividini said their fall collection was a riff on minimalism and imperfection, though the densely layered outfits meant the second part of that equation ended up eclipsing the first.
Among the intentional flaws they toyed with were pressed creases, frayed trims and scribbled prints, such as a spiky floral pattern on items including a beige knee-length dress.
Shrugging off convention, the duo layered cardigans over coats, blouses over sweaters or fringed belts over skirts. Underpinning it all were the brand’s trademark knits, in the shape of ribbed Lurex dresses and turtlenecks, tunic tops with geometric motifs and cable-knit crop tops with sailor collars.
