Pim Sukhahuta’s ladies took a fantasy-inspired romp down a flower-lined runway for fall. Animal and plant motifs with a bohemian vibe dominated the Sretsis collection, which included flowing dresses in floral silk chiffon, several fitted pieces in a jacquard print featuring bunches of grapes and an ivory minidress studded with knit strawberries.
A plush animal theme also recurred throughout the whimiscal lineup. Steiff supplied a wool-blend faux fur reminiscent of astrakhan that Sukhahuta worked into several items, such as a girly dusty pink shrunken jacket/miniskirt combo and quirky fox-faced headpieces and capes. In the show notes, she called the fabric “Ludo fur,” referencing a furry Chewbacca-like monster that served as the collection’s mascot and whose face adorned sweaters and the toes of ankle boots. Fans of cutesy dressing — and there are legions of them in Tokyo — will find plenty of options here.
