Jonathan Cohen was inspired by the idea of Jackie O going crazy and “tearing up her closet.” The concept was best expressed via deconstructed knits and brocade blouses with hand-painted details and unfinished hems — which hinted at Prada’s spring 2015 aesthetic — while there was definitely more originality in an imaginative long-sleeve ponte black-and-white top and print-brocade-skirted evening gown. The latter was accomplished by burning actual flowers and photographing the process to create a digital print.
Elsewhere, hooded sheared-mink jackets and a black tech-taffeta and sponge-jersey princess-cut dress gave the collection a mildly subversive appeal.
