The relaxed glamour of the Seventies and the structured tailoring of the Forties melded together in Jade Lai’s imagination, giving life to her Creatures of Comfort fall collection. In a feminized men’s wear vein were a series of basics, including a long white cotton-cashmere shirtdress worn under an angora navy vest and a blue shirt and roomy auburn trouser with linen vest.
Tuning into a bohemian sartorial vibe, Lai used an oversize check print in full midi skirts and dresses, but most memorable was a chic and understated solid ribbed knit version with sleeves tied at the waist.
