Bevin Butler launched Cade last season with the mission to “dress the woman who is owning her career.” A former corporate lawyer, she was inspired to design by her own frustration with the lack of stylish options available to women working in a conservative environment.
Anchored in tailored shapes that make up office-appropriate attire, the collection adds a measured amount of interest through volume and fabric development. A tech taffeta dress can be worn flat and precise or artfully rumpled. Wide-leg pants in shiny satin have a strong, but not wacky, architectural line that easily pairs back to sharply tailored jackets and blouses, so as not to rock the corporate dress code too much — nor the bank account. Cade is priced at entry designer, $800 for a dress, $500 for pants.
