Elizabeth Giardina continued to explore what she called “a clever twist” for fall, reinterpreting wardrobe classics in new ways. She started with typically wintry, masculine fabrications — brushed mohairs, cotton plaids, denim, double-faced wool and shearlings — and mixed them up with a Seventies, Scandinavia-inspired floral print that had a subtle metallic sheen to it. The feminine-masculine tension worked well, especially in Giardina’s chic, boyish trousers with detachable skirts and oversize outerwear, which included a topper with a luxe coyote fur collar. Several looks came styled with fringe scarves, velvet-heeled mules and over-the-knee boots, all of which were total knockouts.
