Josie Natori placed an emphasis on fabrics for fall, working metallics, jacquards and chintz lace into her lineup of sheaths, skinny pants, lean gowns and contoured toppers. Incorporating a chinoiserie look, Natori used an embroidered dragon motif on everything from coats to legging-tight pants to long bright gloves. Kimonolike jackets came in knit lace, leather and an airy crocheted wool, while a black crepe column looked lovely under a fake astrakhan bolero. For day, a pine green leather suit with a lantern jacket and pencil skirt, worn over a fuchsia silk blouse, added just the right touch.
Models done up with marcel hair and dramatic makeup, along with terrific bold soutache cummerbunds, rounded out Natori’s glamorous and polished collection.
