The high street retailer, under Jane Shepherdson’s chief directorship, made its debut on the catwalk for London Fashion Week with a collection made for sophisticated urbanites. The presentation began with a trio of looks in a shiny camouflage jacquard, all khaki and gray, then moved into several other grouped triptychs.
The best was a leather group, the pants of which were pleated at the top and tapered at the leg. There was a full A-line leather skirt worn with a baby pink mohair cable knit that, together, was the kind of cool ensemble that earned Shepherdson her stripes as one of the most innovative women in fashion retailing.
