Vera Wang piled on the drama for fall in a playfully romantic bridal collection brimming with volume and exaggerated, girlish details. She was once again inspired by the allure of Spain, calling the collection “Hotel Madrid Part Two,” a continuation of last season’s sultry, sensual gowns. Oversize bows adorned many of her sultry, boudoir-inspired looks, complete with cutouts, sheer illusion mesh sleeves and intricate hand-embroidered passementiere bodices. A hint of darkness is de rigueur in Wang’s collections, and nothing said dark like an all-black silk taffeta gown with a collared neckline and a gigantic, cutaway bubble skirt.
