Claire Pettibone transported her guests to the Gilded Age, referencing this era of opulence and extravagance in her designs and staging her fall bridal show in an ornate ballroom. Her vintage-inspired collection was filled with delicate, romantic body-skimming silk gowns with beautiful lace overlays and rich embroideries. All remained true to Pettibone’s aesthetic, but what really stood out were the colorful embroidered versions she offered, ranging in hue from rose gold to antique blue. The designer also launched a fine jewelry line this season to complement her gowns: engagement rings and wedding bands in heirloom-inspired settings in white, yellow or rose gold.
