Marco Capaldo had a burst of energy this season, and used it to make a series of changes.
He dropped out of the London Fashion Week schedule, and presented a look book shot by Ethan James Green instead of a runway show. He also hosted an intimate dinner where guests Simone Ashley, Adwoa Aboah and Alva Claire wore pieces from his glamorous fall 2025 collection.
After a few seasons of building the 16Arlington woman’s wardrobe with beautiful outerwear and elegantly embroidered cocktail dresses, it seems Capaldo is now ready to hit the town with the party girls and boys.

He called his new collection “Light On” and there were several winks to the ‘80s, including the films “Paris, Texas” and “Blue Velvet” and Robert Palmer’s music video “Addicted to Love,” which was directed by Terence Donovan.
Capaldo experimented with bold, exaggerated proportions, wide shoulders, dramatic skirts and power dressing in a way he’s never done before.
He layered the striking reds and purples from the cinematic palettes of Wim Wenders, Donovan and David Lynch onto minidresses with structured, cape-like sleeves; silky, sleeveless turtlenecks, and a sequined skirt with a paisley print.
“What I love about those [films] in particular is their slightly haunting glamour, which obviously is key to the brand’s DNA,” Capaldo said.
He loves sequins and gave them a sinister edge by rolling them into sharp needle shapes that resembled shredded bits of film. It was a clever move-on from his longtime use of sequins which are now ubiquitous on the London runway.
