Zac Posen’s latest collection for David’s Bridal — his Truly Zac Posen line, shown on a retail schedule, hence showing fall looks during the spring 2016 bridal season — featured seven new styles and six special-occasion dresses, many in the fit-and-flare shape that has become his signature. Posen gave rich texture and body to a V-neck gown by working bonded lace onto organza, and the most dramatic look — a voluminous princess gown accented with a ruffled corset — came embellished with feathers and pearl beads, topping out the price range at $1,850. Also new was a fuller-coverage, long-sleeved bustier gown done in black lace with a delicate belt, and also offered in white for brides who err on the side of tradition. “This is for the New York bride in black,” Posen said with a laugh. “That’s the dress I would wear.”
