“My bride is not froufrou,” said Nicole Miller in a preview of her spring bridal collection, comprised of 10 streamlined looks that referenced long, lean silhouettes in silk and allover lace. Miller added texture to her signature stretch-blend fabric via sheer insets, lace embroidery and metallic beading. The showstopper (and also the most expensive offering, priced at $3,000) was an update of a gown the designer sent down her fall ready-to-wear runway, here done in white and covered in laser-cut “leaves,” adding volume — and drama.
