Seth Rogen is showcasing his lesser-known set of artistic talents in a new campaign. The writer, comedian and ceramicist was tapped to appear in The Elder Statesman x Ugg campaign for fall 2023.
According to the two California-based brands, Rogen was a fit choice to front the campaign because of his calm aesthetic and artisan skills. Rogen is the owner of the cannabis brand Houseplant, which offers a selection of pottery and ceramics.
The Elder Statesman x Ugg collection will feature four models of footwear, a backpack and a hat that all speak to the aesthetic and characteristics of artisanal West Coast style. Standout features from the collaboration include embroidery, patchwork sheepskin and lots of textured material.

Working with photographer Sam Nixon, Rogen was snapped in a ceramics studio with a cashmere-tinged touch. The studio channeled Rogen’s own personal studio, showcasing him modeling the six styles from the upcoming collection along with pieces from The Elder Statesman’s 2023 holiday collection.
In the images, Rogen can be seen making art on a pottery wheel while being held by a multicolor, fuzz-covered figure, which the two brands call the “Abominable Uggman,” as a nod to the film “Ghost.” Another snap shows Rogen propped against a custom craft van, a hot pink Toyota HiAce with Rogen’s own ceramic creations inside.
Prices for The Elder Statesman x Ugg collection begin at $195. The collection officially launches on Friday at elder-statesman.com, ugg.com and a number of retailers, including Nordstrom, Mr Porter and Mytheresa.
Ugg’s upcoming collection with The Elder Statesman marks the brand’s latest collaboration. In the past, the brand has partnered with Feng Chen Wang, Sesame Street, Denim Tears and Telfar.
