Serena Williams aced her designer attire, wearing a semi-sheer black gown with feather embellishments to the premiere of “The Tiger,” a short film directed by Spike Jonze and Halina Reijn ahead of Demna‘s debut spring 2026 collection during Milan Fashion Week on Tuesday.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion and Wyn Beauty founder donned a long-sleeve, floor-length dress with a slight train for the star-studded occasion. Williams’ dress was crafted from a semi-sheer fabric that allowed the Gucci logo to be glimpsed.
The hemline of her dress, cuffs at the end of the sleeves and the neckline of the look included black and gray plumage. The feathery embellishments offered further depth and volume to Williams’ look, elevating the gown’s luxurious quality.

Williams’ appearance at the premiere of “The Tiger” coincides with Demna’s debut collection as the new artistic director of Gucci, a position to which he was appointed in March. Demna previously served as the creative director of Balenciaga.
“I think a lot of expectations for me here, in general, are that I come here and do oversize jackets and put logos on it. Why would I come to Gucci to do what I’ve done before?” Demna told WWD’s Luisa Zargani in an exclusive interview. “I feel like it’s superficial to expect that from me. For me, people who expect that, they don’t really know, artistically, who I am. If someone thinks that I will come here and do an oversize bomber with a GG monogram, it means they didn’t understand anything about my work until now.”
On thinking ahead to his future collections with the Italian luxury fashion house, Demna told WWD, “I feel I’m very lucky to be able to have the balance between the multitude of codes from A to Z, from a loafer to the bamboo and everything in between, and the silks and the Flora and all that, but then also having this clean slate on which I can build something new that you know makes sense for Gucci in 2025 or ’26.”
