Sarah Pidgeon was a Chanel girl on Tuesday night for the New York City premiere of FX’s “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette.”
Styled by Emma Jade Morrison, the actress wore a look from Matthieu Blazy‘s pre-fall 2026 collection. The sleeveless dress with a plunging neckline included nods to the Art Deco movement, with diamond shapes featured throughout the bodice of the 1930s-inspired silhouette.
Beaded detailing gave way to a drop waist, transitioning to soft turquoise plumage for a playful skirt. A black bow is featured at the base of the neckline. Although they couldn’t be seen, Pidgeon also wore black trousers to complete the look. She wore pointed-toe black pumps as well.

Matthieu Blazy, who was named the new artistic director of Chanel in December 2024, debuted his first Métiers d’Art collection show in New York City’s subway system in December 2025. “The show spanned eras — from 1920s beehive hairdos to ‘80s power suiting, with ample animal prints, inspired by the wardrobe of Gabrielle Chanel, in the mix,” Emily Mercer wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.
“Here, striking tweed jacket and skirt sets came in handwoven leopard motifs — noted to be a new technique — while silks were designed to resemble her admiration for Astrakhan fur. There was even an intricate tweed-ified version of the 1931 film poster for ‘Tonight or Never,’ which Chanel designed the costumes for.”
