Olivia Wilde chose an ethereal, romantic gown for Sunday’s Vanity Fair 2025 Oscars party in Los Angeles. The actress and director wore a white sheer dress from Chloé’s spring 2025 collection, designed by the brand’s creative director, Chemena Kamali.
The delicate dress featured floral embellishments throughout. It was constructed in a long, billowy silhouette with multiple tiers of ruffles at the waist and hem, creating a layered effect. Wilde paired the frock with white undergarments and carried a shell-shaped clutch, also from Chloé.
Wilde was styled by Karla Welch, who also works with Anna Swai, Kristen Wiig, Gal Gadot and Tracee Ellis Ross.

Chloé’s spring 2025 collection was described as the “freedom collection.” “Once again, the designer drew ideas from the archive — Aghion’s bubble shape from the late ’50s and floral prints, lingerie looks and delicate lace from the late ‘70s, her go-to decade — and gave her own spin, parading oddball bloomers that gathered above the ankle, boyish bubble shorts and lace-trimmed henley knits, an item you sense fills many of her dresser drawers,” WWD’s Miles Socha wrote in September.
Wilde is familiar with the sheer style. She has worn see-through outfits many times before, including a sheer backless tank top from Saint Laurent to the brand’s fall 2024 collection show in Paris.
