Nicole Kidman returned to Chanel for the Oscars 2026 red carpet on Sunday night, arriving at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood in a pale strapless look built around crystal embroidery and feathers.
Jason Bolden styled the actress, one of the evening’s presenters, in a Chanel dress that moved from a heavily embellished bustier into a softer feathered finish below. A straight strapless neckline cut across the chest. White and gray crystals and black beading formed an almost triangular pattern over the bodice, with the embellishment appearing densest at the top. At the waist, Chanel added a peplum in light beige, blush pink, nude and apricot feathers.
The contrast came from the change in surface. The upper half looked dense, while the lower half moved into a softer, more diffused finish. A gradient feather appliqué extended down the skirt, thinning through the thigh and gathering again around the lower half and hem. Pale feathers and petal-like pieces softened the bottom edge of the skirt and extended into a short train.
