Lainey Wilson lit up the red carpet at the People’s Choice Country Music Awards on Thursday in Nashville, Tennessee. The “Bell Bottom Country” singer took home the award for Female Artist of 2023, defeating Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert, among others.
Wilson’s sparkling ensemble consisted of a silver sequined button-up and matching flared trousers, accessorizing with a gold chain belt featuring heart and cross charms. She also added layered statement necklaces, cocktail rings and a suede cowboy hat, completing her look with a glittery box clutch. Wilson was dressed by stylists Juli Wilson and Jeri Hines.

Wilson’s eponymous debut album came out in 2014, but it was her 2019 track “Things a Man Oughta Know” that landed her a top 40 placement on the Billboard charts. Two years later, Wilson scored her first Academy of Country Music awards for Song of the Year and New Female Artist of the Year. Her most recent LP, “Bell Bottom Country,” came out in October 2022.
Wilson has also branched out into acting, having joined the cast of “Yellowstone” in 2022. Taylor Sheridan’s hit Western series, which stars Kevin Costner, airs on Paramount Network.
The inaugural People’s Choice Country Music Awards take place on Sept. 28 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee. Hosted by Little Big Town, the new awards show honors the biggest acts in country music. Broadcast on NBC, the People’s Choice Country Music Awards will also be available to stream on Peacock.
