Kate Middleton visited Leeds and Lancaster in England on Tuesday, embracing power dressing for the occasion. She wore a green wool-tailored jacket with matching wide-leg trousers from Burberry. The royal layered a white formal shirt from Holland Cooper underneath the suit and donned green suede pumps from Emmy London, pearl earrings from Shyla London and a portrait necklace from Laura Lombardi.
During her visit, Middleton stopped by the AW Hainsworth textile mill to learn more about the textile industry and how it’s vital to the U.K.’s economy. AW Hainsworth is a royal warrant holder and the business has a personal connection to the Princess of Wales. Middleton’s paternal great-great-grandfather Noel Middleton sold his Leeds-based wool manufacturing company, William Lupton & Co., to AW Hainsworth in 1958.
AW Hainsworth made the scarlet tunics for the Guardsmen on duty during the coronations of both Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 and King Charles in May.
