Jennifer Lopez took theatrical sartorial dressing to new heights with her sculptural Harris Reed gown at the New York City screening of “Kiss of the Spider Woman” on Monday night.
The actress and singer, whose look was curated by styling team Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, wore a dress from Reed’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection. The gown was designed with a formfitting silhouette, featuring a semi-sheer, muted green fabric with faded black floral designs.
The most striking element of the gown, however, was the sculptural black appliqué, which created a sinuous, cocoon-like X shape at the waist, providing definition and framing the look. The detail also worked to frame Lopez’s face and old Hollywood glam, featuring her hair pulled back into a chignon, styled by Danielle Priano, with wisps of hair to frame her face.

Lopez took a minimalist approach to her accessories, opting for delicate jewelry pieces by London-based brand Hassanzadeh Jewellery. The “On the Floor” singer’s makeup was done by artist Scott Barnes, with nails by Tom Bachik.
Reed’s spring 2026 collection debuted as part of London Fashion Week in September. The British American designer “looked to London in the ‘70s,” for inspiration, per Hikmat Mohammed’s WWD review of the collection. “Leopard and tiger prints adorned trousers and parts of the dresses, as well as the platform Herman Munster shoes,” Mohammed wrote.
Describing the collection, Reed noted, “we’re in a regal place and we used wallpapers again within the collection. It’s about juxtaposition — I just wanted to feel like it was a fun club night out, but a little bit more glamorous, because people need to buy the dresses,” the designer said.
Directed by Bill Condon, “Kiss of the Spider Woman” is the film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical. The story follows political prisoner Valentín, played by Diego Luna, who forms an unlikely bond with cellmate Molina, played by Tonatiuh, the latter of whom spends time recounting a Hollywood musical plot starring Ingrid Luna, played by Lopez. The film hits theaters on Friday.
