Lady Gaga has never failed to make a statement at the MTV Video Music Awards, transforming the red carpet into her own avant-garde runway year after year.
From her unforgettable 2010 “meat dress,” which instantly became one of pop culture’s most iconic fashion moments, to the nine otherworldly outfits she wore at the 2020 VMAs, Gaga has continually pushed boundaries and redefined red-carpet fashion.
On Sunday, Gaga is set to return to the VMAs as a performer. Ahead of the ceremony, WWD looks back at every look she has worn at the award show over the years.
