New Balance and Coco Gauff celebrated the 2024 U.S. Open season on Thursday with the opening of “Coco’s Court” in New York City. The event — which also marked the release of Gauff’s newest signature shoe with New Balance, the Coco CG2 — featured a performance from New Balance ambassador Jaden Smith, who performed his song “Icon.”
“I was definitely not expecting to be surprised by Jaden last night! I’m always listening to ‘Icon’ to get myself hyped up before I play, so it was amazing to see him perform it live,” said Gauff via statement. “Being part of the New Balance family alongside him is really special to me, and I’m so grateful he came out to support me and the launch of my Coco CG2 last night!”
The Coco’s Court pop-up will be open to the public through Saturday in Flatiron. See photos of the event below.
