Chappell Roan, the stage name of Gen-Z darling Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, rose to pop stardom in 2024 with hit songs like “Good Luck, Babe!” and “Hot to Go!” She also became known for her dramatic looks on and off the stage.
Roan often wears bold outfits inspired by drag queens and drag art. On June 15, at the 2024 Kentucky Pride Festival, she channeled her inner Divine in a red mermaid dress and heavy makeup. For her appearance at the Governors Ball Music Festival on June 9, she wore a look inspired by the Statue of Liberty.
“My stylist Genesis Webb and I pull from drag, horror movies, burlesque, theater.…I love looking pretty and scary,” Roan said on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on June 21.
