Elle Fanning gave ethereal dressing a sensual spin in Ralph Lauren for the 2025 Gotham Awards in New York City on Monday night.
The “Sentimental Value” actress turned to stylist Samantha McMillen’s wardrobe curation for the red carpet event, styling a crisp white dress from the aforementioned American designer. The halter dress featured a plunging neckline, with a sleeveless design, cinched waist and a flowing skirt for added movement.
Subtle details featured in the fabric of the dress included pleating at the center of the waist, adding further dimension to the overall look. With the halter neckline, the dress also featured an entirely backless silhouette.

As for accessories, Fanning wore several pieces by Cartier, including a diamond and emerald necklace along with delicate bracelets. When it came to her makeup, Fanning went modern all-American.
Her hair was styled with a middle part and worn straight by Jenda Alcorn, with makeup highlights including bold brows, lined eyes and a glossy neutral lip by artist Erin Ayanian Monroe.
Among the elements of her Gotham Awards attire, Fanning has a special connection to Cartier.
