Elle Fanning brought back a major 2010s trend at the 31st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. The actress sported a custom strapless gown by Loewe, which featured a satin skirt and a peplum bodice.
The flared silhouette has been revived in the 2020s, with stars like Nicole Kidman and Emma Stone modeling peplum gowns at the Academy Awards in 2022 and 2024, respectively.

Fanning accessorized with emerald and diamond-encrusted Cartier Panthère jewels, including a matching cocktail ring, necklace and bangle. The “A Complete Unknown” star was styled by Samantha McMillen, who also counts Kirsten Dunst, Jodie Foster and Daisy Ridley as clients.
Hairdresser Jenda styled Fanning’s blond lob in a side part, while makeup artist Erin Ayanian Monroe gave her sparkly eyeshadow, black eyeliner, rosy blush and a bold red lip.
Earlier this month, Fanning donned a custom Valentino suit designed by the label’s newest creative director, Alessandro Michele, at the Directors Guild Awards.
Her look consisted of a black blazer and trousers, as well as an ivory satin blouse and scarf, which were printed with the Italian label’s monogram. Cartier jewelry completed her ensemble.
