Elizabeth Banks channeled sleek modernity in her Simkhai dress for Monday night’s Los Angeles premiere of her new series “The Miniature Wife.”
The actress and filmmaker styled a look from the designer’s pre-fall 2026 collection. The leathery look was crafted with a slim-fitting column silhouette, and a bodice with a rounded neckline, short sleeves and a cropped element at the bustline.
A form-fitting frame with some exposed seams created clean lines for the Simkhai look, catering to the modern bent of the design. As for jewelry pieces and accessories, Banks wore a pair of stick earrings and a small leaf ring by Jennifer Meyer.

As for glam, Banks continued the modern approach. Her blond hair was styled with a middle part into a low ponytail. Makeup highlights for Banks included bold brows, lined eyes and a neutral lip. Stylist Karla Welch, who also works with actress Tessa Thompson and Oscar-nominated star Renate Reinsve, curated Banks’ look.
Jonathan Simkhai‘s namesake label’s pre-fall 2026 collection curated a bevy of pared-back, sleek, yet feminine designs. Favoring some deconstruction balanced with undone elements, the collection was an ode to the possibilities of contemporary feminine designs.
Celebrity clients of the label include stars from Naomi Watts to Matt Bomer and “The Pitt” star Supriya Ganesh. “ I love Simkhai. Whenever my stylist has his stuff on my fitting rail, I’m always like, ‘Ooh. I gotta try it.’ It’s right up my alley. It’s just so simple, so structural and it’s so elevated,” Ganesh told WWD at the brand’s WSA dinner in February.
“The Miniature Wife” follows married couple Lindy and Les, played by Banks and Matthew Macfadyen, who find the power dynamics of their marriage in flux, only to be further tested when Les accidentally shrinks Lindy. The series hits Peacock on Thursday.
