P. Diddy received the Global Icon Award at the 2023 MTV VMAs, held on Tuesday in Newark, N.J.
The musician’s children, including twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila Combs, helped support him on stage, wearing matching red outfits.
Jessie and D’Lila wore a crisscross crop top and high-waisted leggings with cutout details on the waist. They styled their long knotless braids to frame their faces and completed their look with red combat boots.

Jessie and D’Lila also joined their father on stage to perform his hit single “I’ll Be Missing You,” doing a dance sequence that went viral on TikTok in 2022. The single, released in 1997, was a tribute to the late rapper Biggie Smalls and featured vocals by his then-wife Faith Evans.
The sisters also posed on the red carpet, arriving in sheer black minidresses with a silver sparkling cross outlined in the center. The twins were joined by their older sister, Chance Combs, who coordinated with them in a silver and black animal-striped sequin minidress.
P. Diddy, also known as Sean “Diddy” Combs, was presented the Global Icon Award for his decades-long career in the hip-hop music industry by Mary J. Blige. The rapper, record producer and record executive is widely known for founding the label Bad Boy Records.
Since 1984, MTV’s Video Music Awards have celebrated the biggest artists of the year. The 40th VMAs, held at the Prudential Center in Newark, was hosted by Nicki Minaj and featured a brand new category: Show of the Summer. Shakira received the coveted Video Vanguard Award.
