Bright bursts of color was the dress code for Thursday night’s Costume Designers Guild Awards in Los Angeles. Teyana Taylor, Kate Hudson and more guests wore vibrant tones, courtesy of high-profile designers like Valentino and Tamara Ralph, among others.
Jodie Turner-Smith, Tracee Ellis Ross and Katherine LaNasa were also on-hand to celebrate the best in costume designing for film and television. WWD, breaks down those celebrity style moments ahead.
Jodie Turner-Smith
Turner-Smith evoked 1960s style with her Marc Jacobs look. The actress wore a sapphire blue spring 2026 collection midi dress with long sleeves and a distinctive collar, along with silver and black brooches at the shoulder. White pointed-toe pumps completed Turner-Smith’s look. The actress was styled by Law Roach.

Teyana Taylor
Taylor also went for a vibrant tone with her Tamara Ralph dress. The “One Battle After Another” Oscar nominee’s look, from the spring 2026 couture collection, featured a sleeveless, formfitting silhouette and dramatic skirt with a long, flowing train that trailed Taylor as she walked the arrival carpet. The actress’ look was curated by styling team Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald.
Kate Hudson
Hudson’s Valentino look incorporated a bevy of fabric draping. The “Song Sung Blue” Oscar nominee’s halter dress featured a bright lavender color in a glossy, satin fabric. Hudson added a furry coat over her shoulder for an added touch of Old Hollywood elegance. The actress is often styled by Sophie Lopez.
Tracee Ellis Ross
Ross put a fresh spin on skirt suiting with her Mugler look. Styled by Karla Welch, the actress turned to the fashion house’s spring 2026 collection, styling a peach look complete with a midi skirt and constructed long-sleeve jacket.
Katherine LaNasa
Katherine LaNasa opted for a design by Elie Saab. The Emmy Award-winning “The Pitt” star wore a strapless gold gown with a formfitting bodice and cinched waist for added silhouette definition, along with a flowing skirt. Tara Swennen styled LaNasa’s look.
The annual CDGAs honor the best in costume design for film, television and short-form media. Hosted at The Ebell in Los Angeles on Thursday night, the 2026 winners included Colleen Atwood for “One Battle After Another,” Kate Hawley for “Frankenstein” and Kameron Lennox for “The Studio.”
