Sheer dressing has become a signature style of Ciara. The singer, who made headlines for wearing a daring naked dress by Dundas at the Vanity Fair 2023 Oscars party, returned to the annual event on Sunday, wearing another see-through style. This time, Ciara channeled Cher for her red carpet arrival.
At the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars party, Ciara wore a dress straight off the Dsquared2’s fall 2025 runway show, which was held on Feb. 25 during Milan Fashion Week. Her dress featured a body-hugging silhouette made with a sequin-embellished fabric and long sleeves with dramatic feathery. The singer styled the piece with nude undergarments.

Dsquared2’s fall 2025 show was described as “a camp 30th anniversary blowout” by WWD’s Miles Socha. “Their show on Tuesday night was as over-the-top as Naomi Campbell’s ginormous mane of hair as she did her best Tina Turner strut, her legs and cheekbones still to die for. This came after a dead ringer for Cher, hair flick and all; a youthful approximation of the rock band Kiss, turning 50 this year, and a parade of vintage cars, trucks and yellow taxis depositing rhinestone cowboys, femmes fatales, leather daddies and gym bunnies,” Socha wrote.
Ciara wasn’t the only one betting on the sheer trend at Sunday’s event. Olivia Wilde, Julia Fox, Kendall Jenner and more embraced the style for the Vanity Fair soiree.
