Christie Brinkley and Sailor Brinkley Cook joined a bevy of high-profile guests on Monday for the Solving Kids Cancer annual luncheon in the Hamptons. The mother-daughter pair made the case for breezy summertime coords, wearing pieces courtesy of Donna Karan‘s Urban Zen line.
Brinkley and Brinkley Cook styled complementary looks in shades of soft orange, featuring flowing fabric. Both models styled their respective pieces with jewelry, with Brinkley wearing layers of gold necklaces and Brinkley Cook styling a long brown beaded piece.

Brinkley described the looks as “airy and comfortable,” with Karan further explaining how the ’70s influenced her designs.
Since taking a step back from Donna Karan International in 2015, the eponymous designer spent the last decade focusing her efforts on her Urban Zen label.
In 2015, Karan spoke with Bridget Foley, former executive editor of WWD, about the importance of fashion in an evolving culture. “The minute I walk into a dressing room, I hear the real story. It never became about the clothes, it became about the life,” Karan said.
The versatility of her Urban Zen pieces, as modeled by Brinkley and Brinkley Cook, became a cornerstone of Karan’s approach to design. “The whole philosophy for me is day-to-night, being a working mother, what can I show, what can’t I show, accent the positive, delete the negative,” she said.
Developed as a “philosophy of living,” Urban Zen expanded over the course of the last several years. Beginning as apparel, Karan’s label includes furniture, home decor and art, along with made-to-order pieces.
