Following her performance on the annual holiday episode of “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend, where she harmonized with guest host Ariana Grande and comedian Bowen Yang, Cher was spotted outside the after party with a brand new hairdo. Instead of her signature Morticia Addams-esque style, the 79-year-old Grammy winner donned short, bleach blond ends and wispy fringe.
The bright coloring concealed all signs of her natural underlay, not a dark end in sight. The body of the blond hair was waved, while her bangs were flat-ironed on her forehead, tickling the tops of her laminated brows. Stylist Anna Cofone was the architect behind her transformation. Cofone recently collaborated with the “After All” singer for her appearance at Valentino Beauty’s Studio 54 party in September.

Though this wasn’t the first time Cher has taken blond coloring for a test drive, her Saturday night style was noticeably shorter than past looks. In November, the legendary artist donned long blond ends for the 2025 Bambi Awards in Munich. Here, her hair bore a similar resemblance to her trademark aesthetic, complete with a middle part and mermaid curls. Before that, she evoked Dolly Parton with a platinum blond updo for a night out in New York.
Her makeup on Saturday was just as magnetic as her hair, featuring shimmering rose hues and pink glossy lips. Sparkly shadow formed a sunset over her eyes, while black mascara accentuated her lashes. She also opted for square-cut French tip extensions with rhinestones to match the maximalist aesthetic of her fashion, which was comprised of a glistening bandeau top, black pants, a matching jacket and statement jewelry. Next to her, her partner Alexander Edwards donned a crocodile leather jacket and a cheetah print tie.
