Avril Lavigne dressed down for the red carpet at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Thursday in Frisco, Texas. The 2024 award show celebrated the year’s top artists, albums and songs within the country genre.
The singer opted for an oversize distressed black hoodie and flared ripped jeans with lace panels, wearing her long blond tresses in a middle part. For makeup, she wore her trademark smokey eye.
Lavigne is set to perform at this evening’s ceremony alongside acts like Jelly Roll, Gwen Stefani and Miranda Lambert.
Lavigne will take the stage with recent collaborator and country star Nate Smith. She’s featured on a new version of Smith’s “Bulletproof,” out now. Smith was discovered after his song “Wildfire” went viral on TikTok in 2020.

Hosted by Reba McEntire, the ACM Awards will feature performances from Kane Brown, Miranda Lambert, Post Malone, Chris Stapleton and more. The show will stream live on Prime Video, with a red carpet pre-show featuring Megan Moroney.
