Amal Clooney returned to the red carpet in a marriage of pink feathers, sequins and fringe by Tamara Ralph for the debut of “Jay Kelly” as part of the BFI London Film Festival on Friday alongside her husband and the film’s star George Clooney.
For the red carpet occasion, Amal Clooney wore a strapless column gown from the eponymous designer’s fall 2025 couture collection, featuring a bevy of intricate details that provided textural contrast throughout. The human rights attorney’s dress featured a bodice with a straight neckline and a bevy of sequins carefully sewn into the fabric of the dress. The silhouette of the bodice included a slightly cinched waist for added definition.
With a drop waist design, Clooney’s gown transitioned from the restrained, corseted sequin bodice to a tiered skirt with a bevy of fringe pieces throughout. The skirt provided movement to the piece and created a striking textural contrast.

Completing the look with a touch of old glamour and drama, Clooney carried a voluminous feathery shawl. The accessory coordinated with the pink tone of the dress seamlessly. Adding the plumage effect created another layer of contrast to the overall red carpet look.
As for her accessories, Clooney took a minimalist approach while still choosing a statement piece. Though the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s cofounder didn’t wear several pieces of jewelry, she did opt for a pair of statement rose gold dangle earrings.
Ralph’s fall 2025 couture collection made its debut as part of Paris Couture Week in July 2025. The collection paid homage to the Art Deco movement, popularized in the 1920s and 1930s and characterized by opulence and geometric designs.
“Beaded creations with teardrop crystals evoked chandeliers, while sculptural pieces were embellished with strings of giant pearls and crystal mesh body-hugging designs evoked slinky reverberations of disco balls,” Alex Wynne wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.
“Jay Kelly,” which follows the titular character, played by George Clooney, as he reflects on his life and career as a movie star, is one of several high-profile films featured at the 2025 edition of the BFI London Film Festival, which kicked off on Wednesday and runs until Oct. 19. Films vying for awards consideration will screen and debut at the festival, which marks its 69th anniversary with the 2025 iteration.
