Allyson Lewis has been promoted to chief executive officer of The Tie Bar.
Lewis, who has been with the Chicago-based retailer of men’s dress shirts and accessories for three-and-a-half years, will manage the overall operations of the company going forward.
The ceo role was vacant since Michael Alter left the company in January 2016. Since that time, the vice presidents were overseeing all operations.
Lewis joined the company as director of merchandising and design and was later promoted to vice president. She was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the brand’s product and design and led the launch and expansion of new categories such as belts, scarves and socks. Lewis was also responsible for spearheading the launch of the brand’s first collection of dress shirts.
“With this new role, I look forward to leading this company to the next level, further growing the brand and honing the unique perspective and expertise we bring to the men’s wear industry,” Lewis said.
